## How to play Bloomline

1. There are 108 cards: six flowers × six petal colors × three copies. Deal nine to each player. The largest nonduplicate matching group starts. The human wins opening ties. If neither hand contains a matching group of three, reshuffle and deal again. The starter may choose any legal play.
2. A set contains 3–6 cards with the same flower and different colors, or the same color and different flowers. A flower/color combination cannot repeat within one set. Multiple separate sets may share the same flower or color.
3. Play several cards across new and existing sets, and switch table cards freely before or after playing. The top row holds flower sets, the bottom row holds color sets. Drop onto a new column to start another set. Every public card must finish in a valid set of at least three; a donor may be repaired or dissolved into other sets. Table cards cannot enter your hand.
4. You must play at least one hand card if a legal play is possible; otherwise pass. Temporary short sets are allowed while arranging. Press End turn to commit, or Undo turn to restore the start of your turn. Invalid drops explain the rule after the attempt. There are no matching highlights or suggested turns.
5. Six matching cards form one Full Bloom. At turn-end, collect all completed Full Blooms, then draw back to nine while cards remain. Both players can inspect the captured cards using Full Blooms.
6. After the last card is drawn, each player receives one additional turn; the last-card drawer plays last. The most Full Blooms wins. Equal counts tie.

### Card controls

Drag cards, or select a card and click or tap the destination set. Drag toward a lane edge to pan through crowded sets. Escape cancels a drag or clears the selection. Select a card and choose Inspect for its flower description and satin sheen; right-click or I also opens Inspect. In your hand, Up/Down cycles all four arrangements, Left/Right moves focus, and Shift+Left/Right adjusts your custom order.

### Difficulty and personal scores

Relaxed takes the first legal arrangement. Tactical searches more arrangements. Expert explores further and avoids leaving almost-complete sets. Changing the selector applies to your next New game. Each difficulty has separate personal bests and a top-ten game history saved in this browser. Online rankings and Google sign-in are not active yet.

The AI plans using its own hand and public cards, never your hidden cards. Cards are dealt and AI moves are shown one at a time. Reduced-motion mode retains the pacing with gentler fades. Progress and unfinished turns are saved in this browser when storage is available. After reloading, choose Resume match to continue. Starting a new game replaces that saved match.
